Responsible Research Assessment (RRA)

Recognise Responsibly: value diverse contributions beyond citation counts.

ren.ng integrates RRA into every service. Dashboards highlight open outputs, community engagement, data reuse, and educational impact. Training programmes help administrators adopt qualitative evaluation frameworks inspired by DORA and CoARA commitments.

  • Infrastructure: RUMBU and JournalHub capture outputs with persistent identifiers for transparent attribution.
  • Identity/Metadata: eduID.ng and ORCID ensure contributions are verifiable and portable.
  • Capacity: LIBSENSE Nigeria workshops embed RRA literacy for librarians, research managers, and ECRs.
  • Policy: Collaborations with national stakeholders are building a Nigeria-specific RRA framework for 2027.
